One leap of faith after another.
The EllaAve story
September 2024 changed everything.
My husband’s dreams were finally coming true: he had been accepted into Nursing School after years of working towards his goals. The only problem? It was in South Carolina. We lived in California.
Within three months, we sold half of what we owned and packed the other half into a rickety old trailer. We said goodbye to what felt like our whole lives. We faced east and headed to a new city where we didn’t know a soul. Everything, everyone… was completely unknown. This was the biggest leap of faith we had ever taken in our marriage.
Suddenly, a dual-income, young-married household became single-income. Friend filled game nights became quiet walks of just the two of us. Then, the finances became tight. Too tight. Scary tight.
So I decided to change things around.
Armed with just a paintbrush, some old paints, and a love for creating, I (slowly but surely) did just that.
Queue EllaAve. One of many leaps of faith.
